I'm a neurodiversity-affirming speech-language pathologist with over 10 years of experience, specializing in assistive technology (AT), augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and complex communication needs. Through Take On AAC, I support children, adults, families, agencies, and professionals who are trying to make sense of complex communication needs. My work includes consultation, evaluations, second opinions, coaching, and implementation support after recommendations are made.
I believe AT and AAC should be individualized, meaningful, and usable in real life. Success comes after understanding the person, the environment, the communication partners, the routines, and what's actually needed for genuine, authentic participation to happen across daily life.
In 2023, I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. Today, I am grateful to be healthy and cancer free. That lived experience continues to shape how I think about autonomy, dignity, access, and wanting to be understood when you are most vulnerable.
I live in Connecticut with my husband and our five cats. In my free time, I am usually listening to music, experimenting in the kitchen, testing out new technology, or finding a new creative outlet.
